Official standards and scope

The Open Graph protocol defines its basic og:* properties, and the HTML Standard defines metadata elements. This page reads one key=value entry per physical line, with later duplicate keys replacing earlier ones, then emits og:type, og:site_name, og:title, og:description, and og:url, plus og:image when supplied. It also emits a small set of twitter:* names and chooses summary_large_image only when an image value exists. Attribute text is HTML-escaped, but URLs, image reachability, MIME type, dimensions, secure variants, locale, canonical consistency, title or description length, and platform-specific card requirements are not validated. Missing fields receive DataHub-oriented defaults, and values cannot span lines. Generated markup is a starting fragment, not proof that Facebook, X, messaging clients, or other crawlers will fetch or render a preview; test the deployed public URL with the target platforms.

Notes

  • Browser support for Open Graph, Twitter Card can affect preview and export behavior.
  • Invalid input will show an error when possible, but the tool will not guess missing fields.
  • Preview the result before using it in production, publishing, or submission workflows.
