- Vice President, Influencer
- The Vice President, Influencer will lead the development and execution of integrated influencer marketing programs that drive cultural relevance, brand engagement, and measurable business results. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on expertise in creator partnerships, digital storytelling, and social innovation.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams across strategy, creative, insights, and client experience, the VP will design and deliver full-funnel influencer programs—from awareness-driving campaigns to conversion-led affiliate and ambassador initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the evolving creator economy and how influencer partnerships can be integrated into broader marketing ecosystems to deliver meaningful impact for clients.
- Lead the development and execution of full-funnel influencer marketing programs spanning awareness, engagement, and conversion, including celebrity partnerships, creator collaborations, and long-term ambassador programs.
- Partner closely with Creative, Strategy, Insights, and Client Experience teams to develop integrated influencer campaigns across social and digital platforms that deliver measurable results.

- 8+ years of experience, preferably within an agency environment
- Is comfortable working in a team setting, is not an independent contributor
- Strong understanding of the overall media and social landscape, with an emphasis on digital experience
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to develop relationships with influencers, creators, agencies, and other partners
- Deep expertise in managing influencer programs
- Strong knowledge of social platforms, including paid amplification and campaign optimization
- Strong understanding of marketing funnel analytics & KPIs
- Familiarity with a broad set of social, media and influencer analytics tools
- Detail-oriented, multi-tasker with excellent time-management skills
- Strong written, verbal communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Experience leading a team is an asset
- Have high cultural competencies
- Have “Gravitas” in the influencer space and skin-in-the-game
- Deep understanding of the influencer landscape is required.
- Proven ability to build, speak and grow relationships with change agents and cultural makers (celebrities, influencers, artists, thought leaders) directly or via their agents.
- You must be open to a public
- facing role
- willingness to speak publicly about influencer trends when opportunities present itself to the WS Influencer Team.
- Know how to identify and manage diverse vendors and partners
- in an industry where technologies (saas platforms, AI, managed services, etc) are popping on the daily, at high volume, no less, you must have experience working with RFPs and meeting with leading tech companies to understand their services and identify their uniqueness (and keep up with their ongoing changes in our WS influencer database)
- Be ready to lead at any moment
- working with your leads, you will learn to “step up to the plate” and lead effectively in the client’s and agency’s best interests while also helping to cultivate, mentor and coach mid to junior staff members on the influencer team.

- Hourly range
- $100 USD – $125 USD

- Weber Shandwick is seeking a Senior Vice President, Social & Influencer Strategy to join our Healthcare team in Boston.
- This leader will drive integration across marketing functions for a portfolio of high
- profile healthcare clients, with a focus on delivering best
- class social and influencer strategies within a highly regulated environment.
- This role requires a seasoned strategist who can operate at the intersection of innovation and compliance – bringing forward-thinking, culturally relevant ideas while navigating the nuances of healthcare, regulatory considerations, and risk mitigation. The
- Senior Vice President
- will serve as a trusted advisor to senior clients and internal stakeholders, shaping strategies that not only meet business objectives but also elevate the role of social and influencer engagement in driving meaningful impact.
- The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in social and digital ecosystems, a sophisticated understanding of influencer strategy (including patient and HCP engagement), and a proven ability to lead large, integrated teams.
- This individual will be equally comfortable in executive
- level client counsel, team leadership, and hands
- on strategic development.
- 12–15+ years of experience in digital, social media, and/or digital PR, with significant healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise providing senior-level strategic counsel to clients, including navigating complex, highly regulated environments
- Deep understanding of social media ecosystems, influencer strategy, and the evolving digital landscape, with a strong point of view on where the industry is heading
- Proven ability to lead large, integrated teams and manage complex programs with multiple workstreams
- Strong experience with patient and HCP influencer engagement, including an understanding of compliance considerations and best practices
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives
- Experience collaborating across disciplines, including media, creative, analytics, and medical/legal/regulatory teams
- Strong business acumen, including experience managing scopes of work, budgets, and resource planning
- Ability to synthesize data and insights into actionable recommendations that drive strategy and performance
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of excellence
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for pushing boundaries and redefining what’s possible in healthcare communications
- Some travel (about one trip per quarter) is expected.
- Salary range
- $171,000 USD – $235,000 USD
